Register for the Open House on September 8, 2025
Wear Long Sleeves, Pants, and Athletic shoes. You are welcome to bring a BMX race bike and your own helmet or you can borrow a bike and helmet from the track.
Ages
Pre-K through 12th Grade may join the team.
Siblings may also join on balance bikes or pedal bikes.
Riders must be able to pedal a bike or be young enough for a strider bike if they are not able to pedal.
All skill levels welcome! Novice, Intermediate, or Expert.
Schools
Any student of an Owasso Public School is welcome to join the Owasso Rams BMX Club.
Practices
After school practices are held:
Monday 4p - 5:45p
Wednesday 4p - 5:45p
Practices could be cancelled due to track closure.
This is a fully covered BMX facility where weather rarely impacts racing or practices.
Races
Races are held locally on Thursday evenings and Saturday late mornings.
The team requires two Saturday races per month. Missed races can be made up any non-required Saturday and non-required Thursday.
Races are $15 per race.
Jerseys
One Jersey and One Race Plate are provided in your initial fee. These are required when racing ANY USA BMX sanctioned race.
Additional jerseys may be purchased from our race partner as well as additional race plates as needed.
Race plates must be repurchased every January when district rankings changes.
BMX LEAGUE SEASONS
BMX races run January 1st through December 15th each year.
BMX League is broken into four Seasons or Sessions.

Your USA BMX membership allows you to race at other tracks across the county including two tracks not too far from the Tulsa metro. You are welcome to race at any other track!

Frequently Asked Questions
I am currently on another BMX Team but would like to ride for Owasso BMX. Can I ride for both teams?
No. Riding for Owasso BMX is a full season commitment and the team rules do not allow for riding for two teams at the same time. Exceptions are made only for Expert riders that are accepted as a Junior Coach on the team and wish to train Novice riders.
I do not attend an Owasso school but my friend is on it, can I join the team?
It would depend if you already had a club for your school. Programming is built for the school you attend. If a school team doesn't exist, we will help you build a team. The rules for club assignment are:
- Join the club for your school
- If no club exists, join the club assigned to your home address.
- If no club exists, discuss assignment to the team.
Edison will accept any TPS student without a team. If you don't attend a TPS school, we'll help you start your school team. If your team has the same home track as Edison, you can still practice and race with your friend.
What if I am home schooled but I live in the Owasso District.
You would follow the same rule by the home school district in which you live. If a school team doesn't exist, we will help you build a team. The rules for club assignment are:
- Join the club for your school
- If no club exists, join the club assigned to your home address.
- If no club exists, discuss assignment to the team.
Edison will accept any student that lives in the Owasso district where no team already exists.
What happens if I can't make a required race?
You may make up a race at any of your home tracks other non-required races. You must tell your coach that you will be gone and also inform them what day you will race to make it up.
We want to join but will start another sport at the end of the season. How does that work?
We are excited when children expand their athletic horizon and try other sports. We will release you when the season starts for that sport and welcome you back when the season is over!

Have USA BMX Membership, New to Team
$169 - Jersey, Race Plate, 1 Month of practices, 1 Long Sleeve Team T-Shirt. $30 Practice Fees are due on the 1st of every month for the current month.
Returning Rider
$30 Practice Fees are due on the 1st of every month for the current month.
Race fees are not included and are paid directly to your Home Track. Races are $15 at Track.
