Deer Creek Public Schools approves BMX Club

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Oklahoma Interscholastic BMX League | Tulsa, Oklahoma

The Oklahoma Interscholastic BMX League is proud to announce that Deer Creek Public Schools is the newest district to join the rapidly expanding statewide network of school-based BMX programs. With the Deer Creek School Board granting official approval in November, the district is set to launch its inaugural team for the 2026 season.

This milestone also marks a historic moment for the league:

Deer Creek BMX Club will become the first Interscholastic BMX team to call Yukon BMX Raceway its home track.

The formation of the Deer Creek team is led by parent organizer Roz Karlin, whose passion and dedication helped introduce and champion the program within the district. Karlin shared that she is “beyond thrilled to bring a fresh, fast, and confidence-building sport like BMX to Deer Creek students.”

League Commissioner Carmon Drummond praised Deer Creek’s commitment and celebrated the district’s decision:

“Deer Creek brings an incredible community spirit, strong student participation, and the kind of energy that makes school-based BMX so special. Approving this program was a no-brainer for us at the league. We are honored to welcome Deer Creek as the first Interscholastic team at Yukon BMX Raceway and can’t wait to watch their riders grow and thrive.”
