Volunteer Positions
Note from League Commissioner, Carmon Drummond
Our leagues are run 100% by Volunteers. Coaches are needed. We have partnered with USA BMX and the Whole Athlete Approach to understand the skills and the progression of the skill that should be taught to our league riders.
Volunteer Coach
We need parents to volunteer to coach. Don't worry! You don't have to have BMX experience. We can teach you how to coach new, beginner riders.
We need some coaches that are just there to be the hype man/woman for these young, new riders. Stand at the finish and clap for the effort they give on the track. High give them when they come off the track - even if they are the last rider in their moto.
This league focuses on Working Hard, Being Kind to Others, and having FUN!!
Can you help us tell riders to "Work Hard and Be Kind"? Can you high five a rider? Can you tell a rider "Great Job"? Then we need YOU! - NO BMX EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
Junior Coach
If you are a high school rider and wish to earn service hours at the track, the OIBL would love to have you on the track. Riders look up to older riders as mentors and want to follow your example.
Bike Games Coach
Do you have bike skills? Can you manual? Can you jump obstacles on the track? We would love you to be a Volunteer Coach that rides the track with appropriately skilled riders to encourage them to try and learn new skills on the track.
